Movement is medicine

Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative condition where a certain part of the brain is affected and then affects how other related regions work together.

There are specific movement approaches that help individuals with Parkinson’s disease overcome challenges that are unique to this diagnosis. Therapists will use these as well as hand on neurological facilitation and manual therapies during treatment.

Therapists will also help by creating a program suited to the individual that includes evidence-based recommendations on thriving despite having a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
