Your therapist will provide an in depth assessment of your visual, vestibular, autonomic and postural control systems in order to provide you with an individualized treatment and exercise program.
It takes time and patience but people can get better. Recovering from a concussion is not a linear path. Mindfulness, active relaxation, and stress reduction techniques are paramount in recovery and help to instil self-compassion and patience with the recovery process.
Your therapist will help you to find a routine so that you can complete your exercises, work towards your goals of returning to work/leisure, and maintain your life style as you improve. Often activity has to be scaled back at first in order to start feeling better whilst being active.
